During this course delegates will learn how to create inspiring and interactive flipcharts that will engage students and improve the overall quality of learning. Over a 3 month period they will have the support of a dedicated tutor to assist them in creating lesson plans and flipcharts.
Objective:
To focus on the pedagogical and practical benefits of using the ActivClassroom technology to engage students, enhance learning and simplify teacher tasks and lesson preparation.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
- Use presentation tools and advanced features of the software
- Understand a range of ways in which the ActivClassroom can enhance teaching and learning
- Contribute to discussion forums
- Produce well-designed and pedagogically sound flipcharts and assess the quality of other flipcharts
- Plan, teach and evaluate a lesson using a flipchart and any other features of the ActivClassroom available to you
Overview:
This course is split into 2 phases.
Phase 1 is a full day workshop looking at advanced techniques and how they can be used in the ActivClassroom. Delegates will learn how to create inspiring and interactive flipcharts that will engage students and improve the overall quality of learning.
Phase 2 focuses on blended learning and takes place over a 3 month period. Throughout this time delgates will create a lesson plan and a flipchart to accompany it. They will then be required to implement and evaluate both. During this time all delegates will have the support of their tutor who will be available to answer any queries via email.
On completion of Phase 1 and 2 the tutor will evaluate all submissiong and arrange for Promethean to issue successful delegates with their Promethean Level 2 certificate.
Face to face training:
Phase 1 of this course will be delivered on-site at your establishment by one of our accredited Level 2 Promethean tutors, all of who are teachers themselves. Phase 2 will take place over the course of 3 months, with the Level 2 tutor working remotely. Your tutor will contact you prior to the session to discuss your specific requirements and to ensure that the session is tailored to your priorities.
