Two of our partners win awards at BETT 2012
16 January 2012
The 2012 BETT Show kicked off on Wednesday with a huge announcement from Education Secretary Michael Gove. As of September, the existing ICT curriculum is to be scrapped in favour of an approach focusing on computer science and programming. Ian Livingstone, an adviser to Gove, envisages a new curriculum that could see pupils creating their own apps for smartphones and writing their own simple programming language.
At an awards ceremony last Wednesday the winners of the BETT 2012 Awards were announced and we are thrilled to congratulate two of our partners - Radiowaves and Just2Easy on their awards. Radiowaves came away with 'ICT Company of the Year (less than £1m turnover)' and Just2Easy won the award for 'ICT Tools for Learning and Teaching'. Congratulations to you both!
