This engaging workshop will help teachers and learners unlock the potential of iPad and iPod, and explore how they can be integrated seamlessly into the curriculum as teaching and learning tools.

Objective:

The iPad has gone beyond the confines of apps: it is now a multifunctional teaching and learning device capable of the seamless provision of collaboration, publishing, recording, creation, research and display options in the classroom. This course will show you how this can be done in your classroom.

Learning outcomes:

At the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

• Use an iPad/iPod confidently and effectively in the classroom
• Work out a suitable procedure to download and install apps
• Use a range of recomended apps to promote collaboration, research, publishing and creativity
• Understand how an iPad/iPod can support and enhance the curriculum

Overview:

This hands-on workshop looks at how iPads can be used to support learning across the curriculum. Delegates will learn how core functions such as the camera, microphone, browser and notes can be used and managed within the curriculum, particularly within literacy, science, maths and language arts. It will also look at subject-specific apps and their use in the curriculum.

If requested, the focus of the workshops can be subject-specific, looking solely at MFL, literacy or music for example or can be tailored to the the needs of your particular school: collaborative projects, the creative curriculum, student voice etc.
