This lively, hands-on workshop will demonstrate the potential of iPad and iPod in the classroom and look at how they can be used to effectively enhance learning.
Objective:
To provide delegates with confidence in using iPads, to build an extensive toolkit of educational apps that can be used to enhance teaching and to look at how the core functions of iPad and iPod can be used effectively across the curriculum.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
- Manage and set-up equipment for most effective use
- Confidently manage e-safety issues
- Use an iPad/iPod confidently and effectively in the classroom
- Manage and store documents
- Understand the core iPad apps and how they support the curriculum
- Download, install and use a range of apps to support learning across the curriculum
- Assess which apps are most suitable for different learning outcomes
Overview:
This hands-on workshop not only looks at managing and making your new kit 'workable' within school but also looks at how iPads can be used to support learning across the curriculum. Delegates will learn how to assess a range of apps and discover how they can be used effectively in the classroom, looking in particular at which apps are most suited to literacy, maths and science. If requested, the focus of the workshops can be subject specific, looking solely at MFL or music for example.
